OpenAI published a piece on enterprises moving AI from assistance to execution, and split its Daybreak cyber-defense effort into offensive and defensive tiers with a specialized GPT-5.6-Cyber model. The same week brought smaller operational moves, including a Linux build of the ChatGPT desktop app.
Alongside the general-purpose capability race, a second track is emerging: narrow models aimed at one job. Note that three of the five articles here are trade coverage including rival vendors, and the sourcing rests on a single first-party post, so results at the execution stage are not established.
